Haroon Akhtar Khan is the Founding Director of TSML. He has over three decades of experience in the sugar refining industry, established TSML's presence in Pakistan's ethanol sector and pioneered the company's CO2 capture project. Under his guidance, the company has always promoted its three core values: quality, efficiency and growth.

Mr. Khan spent five years with Manufacturers Life Insurance Company (now known as Manulife Financial) as an actuarial consultant in Toronto, Canada. He has also worked for a management consulting company based in New York, where he focused on financial management, planning, forecasting, profitability analysis and taxation.

Mr. Khan is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, USA and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. He has a Masters in Actuarial Science and Business Administration from the University of Manitoba, Canada where he was on the Dean's Honors List. He also has Bachelor of Science from Government College, Lahore.
