BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Akbar Akhtar Khan
Akbar Akhtar Khan has more than two decades of leadership experience across several large-scale manufacturing businesses in Pakistan. In addition to his leadership role at TSML, he is also the Managing Director of Superior Textile Mills Ltd.

Mr. Khan has a Bachelor of Science in Business with majors in Accounting and Finance from Wright State University, USA and a Master's in Business Administration from Ball State University, USA. Prior to returning to Pakistan, he served as the Chief Auditor at a reputed accounting firm for five years in the United States.
Ghazi Akhtar Khan
Ghazi Akhtar Khan is the Chairman of TSML's Board of Directors. He also serves on the company's Audit Committee.

In addition to his role with TSML, Mr. Khan is the President at Lotte Akhtar Beverages (LTAB), a joint venture between the Akhtar Group and Lotte Corp. LTAB is one of the leading Pepsi Cola bottlers in Asia.

Previously, Mr. Khan was a senior manager in the International Banking Division of Toronto Dominion Bank (now known as TD Bank). He was also a manager at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (now known as KPMG) in Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Khan is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from the University of Toronto, Canada.
Haroon Akhtar Khan
Haroon Akhtar Khan is the Founding Director of TSML. He has over three decades of experience in the sugar refining industry, established TSML's presence in Pakistan's ethanol sector and pioneered the company's CO2 capture project. Under his guidance, the company has always promoted its three core values: quality, efficiency and growth.

Mr. Khan spent five years with Manufacturers Life Insurance Company (now known as Manulife Financial) as an actuarial consultant in Toronto, Canada. He has also worked for a management consulting company based in New York, where he focused on financial management, planning, forecasting, profitability analysis and taxation.
​
Mr. Khan is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, USA and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. He has a Master's degree in Actuarial Science and Business Administration from the University of Manitoba, Canada where he was on the Dean's Honors List at the top of his class. He also has Bachelor of Science from Government College, Lahore where he was a gold medalist.
Humayun Akhtar Khan
Humayun Akhtar Khan has recently been elected as a non-executive Director at TSML. He is also the Chairman of the company's Audit Committee.
Mr. Khan has served as Pakistan's Federal Minister for Commerce and Trade and as a Minister and Chairman of the Board of Investment. Currently, he is the Founder and Chairman of the Institute for Policy Reform, a think tank.

Mr. Khan received his early education from Burn Hall, Abbottabad and his secondary education from Saint Mary’s, Rawalpindi. He has a Bachelor of Science from Government College, Lahore and a Master's degree in Actuarial Science and Business Administration from the University of Manitoba, Canada. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, USA and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
Mobina Akbar Khan
Mobina Akbar Khan has been associated with TSML for more than twenty-six years. Ms. Khan is a lawyer by profession and also has a Master's degree in Business Administration from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.
Rasheeda Begum
Rasheeda Begum has been associated with TSML for nearly three decades. She joined TSML's Board of Directors around the company's inception.
Tahir Farooq Malik
Tahir Farooq Malik has been a Director at TSML for several years. He has a Bachelor's degree from Forman Christian College, Lahore and a Master's degree in Business Administration. Mr. Malik has been associated with the operations of the company since 2002.
